Yarmouth  with its  history,  market , shopping  and  sea front is reached by Southtown Bridge, two miles away.


Breydon  Water  (2 miles) is  the main  link between the  Broads rivers and the sea and is a major bird watching  site.  Strumpshaw RSPB  site is about  10 miles by road and  is one of a  series of  bird sanctuaries on the  River Yare.


Burgh Castle, the Roman Fort, is  approximately  3 miles from the house and there are Roman remains at Caister, 4 miles away.


Hopton on Sea  is 4 miles from the house and has Potters Centre where National  Bowling Championships are held.


Somerleyton Hall is approximately  8 miles south. Lowestoft and  Oulton Broad   are approximately 8 miles away.
